ACT Heritage Library

The ACT Heritage Library photographic database Images ACT currently contains over 6000 images.

A small selection of 500 images are available online, portraying life in the Nation's Capital, Canberra, in the early 1950s.

Digitising and cataloguing of the existing collections is ongoing and contemporary images and new acquisitions are also being added as they are acquired. Donations to the collections are welcomed.

Print copies of images from Images ACT may be obtained by quoting the image number and contacting the ACT Heritage Library. Details of print prices and commercial reproduction fees are also available on request.

Copying of images for publication or commercial use is not permitted without written consent.
