Brisbane City Council Library Services

The Brisbane City Council Library's image database, Brisbane Images, currently contains over 10,000 photographs and slides from the Library Services Archives collection. Digitising and cataloguing of the existing collections is ongoing.

The images date from the 1840s until the present time. Brisbane Images features the built environment such as bridges, buildings, and Queensland homes; the natural environment, including parks and waterways; transport, including trams and buses; and cultural events such as Expo '88, the Commonwealth Games, major floods and People of Interest.

Copyright is owned by the Brisbane City Council. Permission is given to print images for personal use only.
