James Cook University
James Cook University Library holds two photographic collections which have been partially digitised for this pilot project.
The Daintree Rainforest Campaign and CAFNEC trail consists of 56 photographs showing political action at the Daintree Blockade in 1983 together with photographs showing Cairns and Far North Environment Center campaigns at other wilderness sites in Far North Queensland.
The North Queensland Photographic Collection trail consists of a sample of 50 from 40,000 photographs held in the James Cook University, Townsville, that show Townsville historic buildings, structures, ships, stationlife, industry and people in North Queensland in the early 19th century.
Both collections and further information is available online via the James Cook Digital Archive.
