Newcastle Region Library

Newcastle Region Library’s pictorial collection includes a range of pictorial materials that document the regional landscape, social history, major events, and the lives of individuals of Newcastle and the Hunter Region.

The collection includes primarily historical & contemporary photographs, but also contains paintings and drawings.

The Library continues to preserve the pictorial heritage of the region and has a program of digitisation which makes it available through the Library’s online database Hunter Photo Bank and through Picture Australia.
